Countryside Learning - Otterden Estates

Our KS1 children visited Otterden Estates to learn about lots of outdoor things
We have learnt how to make a nest, what the eggs look like, the kind of small animals they have in the woods and saw the beautiful bluebells.
We learnt how an acorn grows and what it needs to survive - water, sunlight, nutrients and carbon dioxide. We also played a game about how to collect these things and managed to "grow" 3 acorns!
Then we looked at the barn and the farm machinery. We also made our own seed bombs using soil, seeds and wrapped them up in clay which we are taking back to school.

Our KS2 children visited Otterden Estates Countryside Learning and had an amazing time this week.
They learnt so many things - including about different farm machinery, different birds including owls, animals and their habitats and how they eat, planting seeds, and much more. We even met Kitty the dog!
Thank you to Countryside Learning for an amazing day. We had so much fun and learnt so much, and everyone was so knowledgeable and helpful the whole day!
