PTA - Friends of Lynsted

FRIENDS OF LYNSTED AND NORTON PRIMARY SCHOOL (FLNPS)

Who are we?

We are a voluntary group made up of parents and carers involved with the school.

What do we do?

We organise fundraising events at school.  Over the past few years despite a particularly challenging time for everyone we have raised lots of money for the school.

Why do we raise funds?

We raise funds in order to provide a variety of fun and enriching experiences throughout your child’s time at school

Where does the funding go?

In order to enrich the children’s experiences within the school, the Friends of Lynsted and Norton Primary School have funded:-

-help with transport for school trips

-School Discos

-Film nights

-Christmas Crafts

-Easter Eggs for the whole school

-Books and equipment for the school library

- Year 6 Leavers Hoodies

Can I join ?

We are always looking for new members and would love for you to join us.  We usually meet in school with Mrs McLaughlin, the headteacher once a term.

We are also always looking for helpers for:-

- Attending events to supervise

- We are always after new ideas for fundraising

- Take part in activities

- Attend planning meetings with the Headteacher

- Buy and sell tickets

- Baking cakes for a cake sale

- Spread the word to friends, family and neighbours

- Seek help from local shops and businesses to generously provide donations, gifts, prizes and other services

- If you run your own business or work for a firm in the local area that would be willing to help us with anything, please get in touch with any ideas for how you might be able to for our next event

- Offers of help before and after events or at other times of the year is so valuable

- It doesn’t matter if you can’t help out on a regular basis, or even come into school.  There are always jobs that can be done from home if you have a spare half an hour – wrapping gifts, preparing raffle tickets, etc.
