Ofsted

Ofsted is the Office for Standards in Education, Children’s Services and Skills. They inspect services providing education and skills for learners of all ages. 

Lynsted and Norton Primary School was last fully inspected by Ofsted in March 2023. 

There are many successes contained within the report, one of which is worth highlighting that Ofsted graded our Early Years as Good. It states that the nurturing environment helps children at the school settle into Reception very well.

Other statements that the inspectors made include:

• Pupils behave well in lessons
• Pupils are  motivated to learn
• Pupils throughout the school can confidently talk about the books they enjoy reading
• Safeguarding arrangements are effective
• Pupils follow a broad and balanced curriculum
• Leaders have introduced a clear curriculum to support pupils’ personal, social and health education
• Leaders have improved the overall quality of education significantly since the last inspection
