School Trips and Visits
During the course of the year various visits will be arranged for the children. These will involve excursions to places of interest and visits to the school by a variety of performers and artists. The purpose of these visits is to broaden the children’s educative experiences. We aim to have a visitor, a local trip and a bigger trip for each class each year, linked to their learning. Our curriculum maps on the website indicate the suggested activities over the year.
Have a look at our class pages on the website to see some of the trips we have been on this year.
Under current legislation we cannot charge parents for these, however we do ask for a voluntary contribution towards their cost and rely on the support of parents in order to ensure we can afford to organise these visits. All children are expected to participate in organised visits.
Year 6 Residential
This year, many of our year 6 children have chosen to go on the residential to Kingswood, Ashford. At this activity centre, the children spend 3 nights. It brings learning out of the classroom and allows children to experience activities such as archery, high ropes, zip wire and many more. It develops the children's confidence, resilience and life skills, which are linked to our school's values.
