Tribe Forest School
Here at Lynsted and Norton Primary School, we want to give all children the best possible opportunities and experiences. We are very excited to share with you, that our school will be implementing Forest School into our provision.
Forest School is an inspirational learning process that is centred around the child. It offers opportunities for holistic growth through regular sessions, supporting play and exploration. It develops confidence and self esteem through learner inspired, hands on experiences in a natural setting. The process supports and enables more than knowledge gathering. It helps learners develop socially, emotionally, spiritually, physically and intellectually. This style of learning is particularly beneficially to our child’s well being.
Forest School will further enhance the curriculum in our school. Activities will include storytelling, natural art activities, use of tools, exploring, nature watching and bug hunting, building dens and sculptures and taking time to reflect.
We are happy to welcome Natalie China from Tribe Forest School in on Friday 6 June to deliver Forest School learning which will take place on our school field, the trees area near the school office and of course our outdoor classroom.
As this will take place on a Friday, the children will be in PE kits so there is no need to bring anything else in this day.
